Employment Insurance
You can receive regular benefits if your employment ends through no fault of your own, for example, due to shortage of work.
For more information please visit the Service Canada website. You can apply online, or visit your nearest Service Canada office to apply in person.
Find a Service Canada Office near you.
- Driftwood automatically submits ROE’s electronically if there is break in employment for longer than one pay period. You do not need to request copies of your ROEs from your employer, and you do not have to provide copies to Service Canada.
- If you are applying for any type of benefits, other than maternity or parental, be sure to apply as soon as you stop working even if you don’t have your Records of Employment. Delaying in filing your claim for benefits beyond 4 weeks after your last day of work may cause loss of benefits.
- If you require a ROE immediately after employment ends, please contact Gina to request one.
